He jerks around, glaring at the crew.
"Man the yards, you filthy toads!"
Jack stares up at at one of the yardarms, which for a second almost seems to
gleam
a soft silver.
He doesn't seem to notice, and turns to stalk down the deck.
(From somewhere comes the startled squawk of a chicken.)
(There's no chicken.)
